Role Description

The Territory Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore Area, responsible for expanding and managing sales within an assigned territory. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with fabricators, designers, architects, builders, and other stone professionals, and promoting GFO Stone's product portfolio. Day-to-day activities include visiting clients and prospects, conducting product presentations, supporting project specifications, monitoring market trends, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure reliable inventory and timely deliveries. The Territory Development Manager will also prepare sales proposals, track performance against targets, and provide feedback to leadership on territory growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in territory or field sales, ideally in building materials, surfaces, or related industries.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to support fabricators, designers, architects, and builders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of basic sales planning, pipeline management, and negotiation techniques.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs and translate them into actionable territory development plans.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain product features and benefits clearly.
  • Comfort working on-site and in the field, including regular client visits and showroom-based meetings.
  • Proficiency with standard office and CRM software to document activities, manage contacts, and report on results.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with internal operations and customer service teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Design, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience also considered.
